Our qualified black belt instructors are energetic, outgoing, and have advanced training while continuing to upgrade their skills. All instructors are developed in-house and go through a rigorously supervised program before earning their teaching credentials. The Kenshin Karate School is under the direction of 4th degree black belt Neil Tyra. Renshi Tyra has been teaching in the Washington D.C. area for nearly twenty years. Renshi Tyra is the founder of the Kenshin Gojuryu Karatedo system. He was formerly the highest ranking Kanzen Gojuryu instructor in the Washington metropolitan area and is a direct student of Kyoshi Michael DiRaimondo who sits on the Board of Directors of Kanzen Gojuryu. Renshi Tyra is also the former director of the United Cerebral Palsy Benefit Karate Tournament -- one of this area's largest and most successful charity tournaments. In addition to his accomplishments in karate, he currently teaches Yang style tai chi - the ancient chinese martial art devoted to improving your health and well being. He also is one of the most popular instructors in the area of aerobic kickboxing. |
