The Kenshin Karate School demonstration team is made up of our most elite, dedicated students. Last year, the demo team spent a very successful season developing creative routines that demonstrate the essence of our empty hand art as well as dynamic nunchaku and bo staff routines. This year, the demonstration team will be developing an exciting two man bo staff routine, an eye popping fighting demonstration, and an elaborate self defense set.

The demonstration team performs at belt tests, in-house events, and is availabel to perform for the community to show our art and to showcase our school.

If you are interested in auditioning for the demonstration team you must contact Renshi. Qualified students must routinely demonstrate the enthusiasm and technical skills to help take the demonstration team to a new level. To be considered, you must:
• Perform a kata of your choosing
• Develop and perform a kata you create (minimum 15 moves)
• Showcase your basic martial arts and athletic skills
• Prepare and read for the team a short essay entitled “Why I Want to Be on the Demo Team!”

Demo team is a commitment. You will be expected to attend practice sessions on a regular basis. You will also be expected to attend any and all performances of the team as scheduled. Allowances will be made for other commitments on a case by case basis.
