Youth Programs
"Little Ninjas" and Elementary School Age Children

We are very concerned with the well-being and education of our children and understand that younger students have a shorter attention span. Our unique children's programs use interesting and enjoyable methods to keep the student's attention and teach our young students skills that they can use for life. Students will learn confidence, self-discipline, and control as they learn how to act and react to the world around them. Our young students are treated with respect and are taught to return the same respect to others. We believe in praise, encouragement, and positive reinforcement while teaching students the value of making goals and working to meet them.
Our new "Little Ninjas" program , a martial arts program designed especially for 4 & 5 year old children, seeks to meet the needs of parents wishing to enroll their younger children in a martial arts program. Such programs continue to expand in the area as parents look to involve their children in healthy activities at an earlier age. This program is designed to introduce young children to the life long values and benefits that martial arts training provide. Students are introduced to basic concepts such as focus, balance, control, and discipline. Introductory techniques include blocking, punching, kicking, and stance work. Structured play reinforces the lessons learned and prepares the student for inclusion in a regular martial arts program.
The Youth Program was developed to meet the special needs of providing martial arts training to youngsters in the age range of 6-8 years (Youth I) and 8-11 years (Youth II). For each of these categories, training is provided in the basic martial arts skills of punching, blocking, kicking, and stance movement. The Youth Program begins our formal training in the Gojuryu style of karate. Students will be incorporated into the class that best meets their age and training level. Progress in the Youth Program is signified by the use of colored belts proceeding from White Belt through Black Belt.
