Students are to bow in and out when entering and leaving the dojo. |

Students are to bow to all black belts prior to addressing them in any manner. |

Students are responsible for providing a clean uniform (gi) for every practice or training session. No patches other than the Kanzen Gojuryu Karatedo patch or those specifically authorized by the Kenshin Karate School are permitted on the gi at any time. |

Students are responsible for paying their dues promptly at the beginning of each dues period. Students may not participate in class if their dues status is not up to date. Students must also have a signed release form on file before participating in class. |

Students are responsible for being to class on time to sufficiently warm up before class begins. Students late to class must come to the front of the class and be recognized by the instructor prior to joining in with the class. |

Students who must leave class before it is dismissed must be recognized by the instructor prior to leaving the class ranks (except in emergency situations). |

Students are not permitted to talk idly when class is being conducted. Questions should be addressed to the instructor after the instructor has recognized the student. |

Students are responsible for reporting all injuries to the instructor. The instructor may suggest treatment to be followed for minor injuries based on the knowledge he has attained. The instructor will direct the student to seek professional medical attention if in the instructor's opinion it is so warranted. The student is ultimately responsible for obtaining proper and comprehensive medical attention. |

Students are note permitted to participate in free sparring activities until they have reached the rank of green belt. |

During free sparring, light contact is permitted to the body. Light contact is defined as contact that if not deflected or blocked would not cause sustained injury to the participant. No contact whatsoever is permitted to the head, face, neck or groin at any level. The following areas are considered illegal contact areas at all levels and deliberate contact is not permitted under any circumstance: head, face, neck, throat, groin, spine, kidneys, back, knees, legs, and ankles. |

Students are required to wear protective equipment for all sparring sessions including controlled one step sparring. Protective equipment includes forearm and shin pads, mouthpieces, and foam padded hand, foot, and head guards. This equipment must be provided by each student for their own personal use. |
